Local use

Smart Folio can be used without an account. In that mode, bookmarks, pages, tags, and preferences remain in local browser storage and are not sent to Smart Folio.

Optional sync

When you sign in with Google, activate Smart Folio Pro, and enable sync, we send the data required to keep bookmarks and pages consistent across devices over HTTPS. We also store your name, email, profile image, technical sessions, and subscription status.

Providers

Google is used only to authenticate your identity with basic profile, name, and email permissions. Smart Folio does not request access to Gmail or Google Drive.

Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and processes payments, taxes, invoices, refunds, and cancellations. Smart Folio does not store complete card details.

Control and deletion

You can stop syncing by signing out and export local data from the extension. You can delete your account and all associated remote data directly from the extension (Settings → Account → Delete account); if you have an active subscription, cancel it first from the Paddle portal. You can also request deletion through our Telegram support (t.me/SmartFolioSupportBot).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights directly from the extension or through our Telegram support (t.me/SmartFolioSupportBot). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes are announced through the extension's update notes and reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
